A section with combined traffic connects Ivan Franko Street, where major repairs are currently underway, and Leontovych Street. The appropriate markings have already been applied there. On the asphalt itself, a bicycle, a direction arrow, and a maximum speed limit sign of 20 km/h are painted. In addition, a sign with the inscription «Спільний рух» has been installed along the road.

As noted in the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration, the markings are defined by the new provisions of the GOST standard, which come into force on August 1, 2021 – DSTU 2587: 2021 «Road Safety. Road Markings. General Technical Conditions». They emphasize that their Department of Transport Infrastructure developed it jointly with the National Police and public organizations.

It is worth noting that sections of shared traffic are common in European cities, however, the speed limit there is 30 km/h.

This section can safely be considered the first road in Ukraine where the speed limit is 20 km/h. Unless, of course, we take into account residential and pedestrian zones, where a similar restriction applies.
