First, do not rush to turn on the air conditioner immediately. For a start, it is advisable to ventilate the cabin – drive the first few minutes with the windows down. This will already cool the cabin a little.

Secondly, avoid a large difference between the temperature outside and in the car cabin. It is the sharp temperature drop that is the most common cause of colds. It is recommended to set the temperature in the car 5-6 degrees lower than outside.

Although, of course, if the car is equipped with a conventional air conditioner (not climate control), it is more difficult to guess the correct temperature. In this case, you just need not to turn on the air conditioner at maximum immediately.

For the first time, it will not be superfluous to turn off the air recirculation. After the cabin cools down, you can raise the temperature or reduce the air conditioner. It is advisable to adjust the ventilation grilles so that cold air does not blow into the face or chest for a long time.

During long trips, it is recommended to ventilate the cabin every half hour. The air from the air conditioner is too dry and negatively affects the mucous membranes. Closer to the end of the trip, you can even turn off the air conditioner and prepare the body for temperature changes.

And, of course, it is necessary to regularly service the climate system and change the cabin filter. Over time, it accumulates debris, as well as pollen, spores and bacteria.
