As reported by the head of the city's infrastructure department, Serhiy Dulfan, the first stage plans to install 11 automatic traffic enforcement cameras at accident-prone areas. Two of them have already been installed on Moskovskyi and Nauky avenues.
The automatic enforcement cameras in Kharkiv have already been tested and are ready for use. It remains to coordinate the traffic organization on these sections with road services and officially legalize them.

In parallel, Kharkiv is implementing the "Safe City" program with the help of the European Investment Bank. Within its framework, hundreds of new cameras will appear over two years – they will be installed on highways with the most intensive traffic.
Recall that 130 automatic enforcement systems have already been installed in Ukraine – previously they appeared in Kyiv, Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa regions. By 2024, their number is planned to be increased to 1500.
