How often do you need to change wiper blades

Colleagues from Germany have established that old wiper blades need to be replaced with new ones every two years. During operation, wipers not only wear out due to performing their main functions, but also suffer from exposure to sunlight, humidity levels, etc. In other words, over two years, wiper blades become harder (read: "dry out") and lose their characteristics.

However, these conclusions mostly apply to quality products, so it is possible that poor wiper blades may start to fail prematurely (even 4-6 months after purchase). In such a case, the driver should replace the blades immediately after it becomes clear that they no longer clear rain as they used to.

Wiper blades are the most common consumables, so do not neglect their replacement. After all, they are as important a part of the car's safety equipment as seat belts and airbags. In addition, worn wiper blades can also bring unpleasant surprises such as a scratched windshield (this does not happen often, but it does happen).
