Parking in Kyiv will indeed become free, but temporarily. Thus, the city authorities decided to make life easier for motorists during the strict lockdown. That is, at least until April 16, you don't need to pay for parking.

"From April 5 until the end of the strict restrictions, car owners in Kyiv are exempt from paying for parking at the sites of the municipal enterprise 'Kyivparktransservice'," said Vitali Klitschko.
The mayor of Kyiv understands that such a radical measure will lead to a reduction in revenues to the city budget. However, they took this step to make life easier for Kyiv residents and businesses.
As is known, from April 5, public transport in Kyiv will only be accessible with special passes, and many enterprises will organize transportation of staff to work on their own. And caring citizens will surely take fellow travelers with them.
