Vitaliy Klychko stated that within two years minibuses will disappear in Kyiv, and the capital will switch to more modern public transport.
"Minibuses will definitely become a thing of the past, as the city must have modern public transport with high capacity. One bus can carry as many passengers as ten minibuses. If the pace of development remains at the current level, then in two years there will be no minibuses left in the city," the mayor said.
The press service of the Kyiv City State Administration also noted that to implement best world practices, the city's transport system was developed jointly with the World Bank. Several new routes have already been launched. In particular, the route connecting Troieshchyna with the railway station is popular, the mayor of the capital reported.
