In August 2026, Ukrainians purchased about 5 thousand new passenger cars. Private buyers accounted for 65% of the market, while legal entities provided the remaining 35%. This is reported by Ukravtoprom.

Compared to August 2025, the number of new passenger cars purchased by private clients decreased by 33%. In the corporate segment, the decline was smaller and amounted to 12%.

Most popular cars among private buyers in August 2026

In the private segment, first place by a large margin went to the Toyota RAV4 - in a month, Ukrainians purchased 375 of these crossovers.

  1. Toyota RAV4 - 375 cars;

  2. Hyundai Tucson - 162 cars;

  3. Toyota Camry - 116 cars;

  4. BYD Sea Lion 06 - 114 cars;

  5. Mazda CX-5 - 112 cars.

The top five included two Toyota models at once. The difference between the Toyota Camry, BYD Sea Lion 06 and Mazda CX-5 was only four cars.

Most popular new cars among legal entities

Corporate clients formed a different rating. Most often, companies registered the Renault Duster, which with a result of 201 cars was ahead of the Skoda Octavia by only four cars.

  2. Skoda Octavia - 197 cars;

  3. Toyota Yaris Cross - 100 cars;

  4. Skoda Kodiaq - 80 cars;

  5. Toyota RAV4 - 70 cars.
