The marking process was completed on March 30 on George Washington Street as part of cooperation between the city council and the OKKO gas station network.
In addition to this street, before the start of the active cycling season, the corresponding markings, with the support of OKKO, were also applied to bike paths running along Pasechnaya, Gorodotskaya, Vladimir the Great, Khmelnitsky, Listopadovogo Chyna, Metropolitan Andrey, and Konovalets streets.

"Currently in Lviv, the only bike paths that remain unmarked with the bicycle pictogram are those where work is still ongoing and which have not yet been put into operation – on Chernovola Avenue, Shevchenko and Stus streets, and at the intersection of Stryiska/Naukova streets. But soon the contractors completing these projects will apply markings there as well," says the mayor's advisor, Lviv City Council deputy Oleh Shmid. "The city council and OKKO are not cooperating for the first time on road safety projects. Thanks to this partnership, we have covered with markings all bike paths that had remained unmarked until now. And there were quite a lot of them. Over the last few days, more than a hundred pictograms have been applied. OKKO demonstrates a commendable example of corporate social responsibility."

The OKKO gas station network constantly supports projects for the development of cycling infrastructure. In addition to marking bike paths, it has equipped a special bicycle parking area under its central office on Heroiv UPA Street. Soon, similar parking areas will appear at several gas stations in Lviv and Kyiv. Both employees and customers of OKKO will be able to use them. And from May, a specialized bicycle wash will operate at the gas station complex on Naukova Street, 2-A, in Lviv.
"Many of our employees commute to work by bicycle, and many of our customers often switch from cars to bicycles. We want them to feel safe and comfortable on the road in any case," says Oleksandr Shevelev, head of the communications department of the OKKO gas station network. "That is why we have been implementing the project 'I beg you, live! Road Safety' for several years now, within which we call on all road users to behave responsibly, and cyclists to move along specially designated sections of roads, wear reflective elements in the dark, etc."
