Due to heavy snowfall, many of the roads leading to Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, etc. are closed. Some routes turned out to be simply paralyzed, as a result of which motorists became hostages of the elements.

We have already said and reminded more than once how to behave in order to get out of such situations. You need to soberly understand that neither road services nor emergency workers will fly to us by helicopter to quickly clear the road and free our car from snow captivity.

Given the scale of the current snowfalls – once again we strongly recommend reading What to do if you get stuck in the snow, where we have collected advice from survival experts and off-road travel enthusiasts.

P.S. We advise residents of snowy regions planning even short trips to equip their cars so that they have:

- shovel

- change of clothes and/or warm blanket

- canister of fuel

- at least one bottle of drinking water

- flashlight (preferably with spare batteries)

- minimal set of food

- matches/lighters

- tow rope
