The roads were cleared, but a new problem has arisen. Gusts of wind are blowing snow from the fields onto the roads. To combat this phenomenon, the regional road service has begun installing snow-retaining shields along highways.

The road service stated: "This is a fairly effective and affordable method, as the shields are made from wood waste. Employees of district branches have already installed 2,500 such shields. Based on the experience of the previous winter, we should not stop here, so we continue to manufacture new aforementioned means of combating snow."

It should be noted that for prompt response to worsening weather conditions, the region's road workers have switched to round-the-clock duty of engineering and technical staff.
