This was reported by Vladimir Bondarenko, the head of the Kyiv City Administration. The construction of the metro requires enormous funds, which at the moment simply have nowhere to be taken from.

"At the same time, the construction of a tram requires 4 times less costs. Lviv produces absolutely quiet trams consisting of 5 cars," Bondarenko stated.

According to Bondarenko, at one time the tram tracks were thoughtlessly removed, and depots were destroyed. In this regard, when planning transport flows, it is necessary to combine various types of transport. "We agreed that we will develop a design option for such a transport flow," he said.

Kyiv residents are already used to such statements. At the end of December, we wrote that metro builders are thinking about which route to run the metro to Troieshchyna. And now, a "new twist"...

We also wrote that signs appeared in Kyiv allowing to drive 80 km/h.
