Despite warnings about difficult weather conditions in the southern regions of Ukraine, drivers continue to take to the roads, which complicates the work of State Emergency Service rescuers who are clearing roads and freeing stuck vehicles.
Over the past day, service employees eliminated 10 traffic jams, freeing 1,418 cars from the snow trap. In these vehicles, about 2,460 people were blocked and waiting for help.
According to the State Emergency Service data as of the morning of January 31, approximately 630 vehicles are still in the snow trap, with 782 people waiting for help in them.
Representatives of the Ukrainian State Automobile Inspectorate and Ukravtodor urge drivers not to use personal vehicles and to regularly monitor information in the mass media.
