The Kyiv City State Administration, by its order No. 1756 dated October 8, 2012, gave permission to the municipal enterprise "Directorate for Construction of Road and Transport Structures of Kyiv" to completely close traffic on sections between Naberezhne Shose and Borychiv Descent in both directions. This is due to the reconstruction of the transport interchange at Poshtova Square, and the restrictions will be in effect in accordance with the approved traffic organization scheme until May 25, 2013.

As previously reported, the winner of the tender for general contracting works on the reconstruction of the interchange at Poshtova Square was the corporation "Altis-Holding". The cost of the works is estimated at UAH 403 million 563.7 thousand.

It is worth noting that after the reconstruction is completed, the square will become a pedestrian zone with direct access to the Dnipro embankment. At the same time, Naberezhne Shose and Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street will be connected by a transport tunnel, with traffic organized as continuous direct flow. Passage along Borychiv Descent Street will be preserved.
