An unusual project was implemented by Icon, a company specializing in the restoration and maintenance of classic SUVs. The vehicle was thoroughly "reworked": initially it was a two-door SUV, but during the restoration it was converted into a four-door. In addition, the SUV was fitted with new side panels and a new soft top, meaning only the frame and body panels remained from the original.

The suspension of the restored "Cruiser" is also modern - with adjustable Fox Racing shock absorbers. This picture was complemented by Brembo disc brakes.

The SUV's body was painted with a special powder coating that is resistant to scratches, and the interior was upholstered in wear-resistant vinyl. The seats are also new and more comfortable, plus touchscreens and an ergonomic steering wheel appeared inside.

The engine of this Toyota Land Cruiser J40 is not disclosed, but most likely, under the hood hides a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 from General Motors - it was this engine that most often powered such a model throughout its production years (1960-1984).

The cost of this vehicle is 210,000 dollars. Icon emphasizes that they can do the same (or similar) with any other Cruiser J40, the main thing is that there are clients.
