The first of them operates as part of the Zolochiv gas filling station (Lviv region), which the company put into operation last year. The second is located on the territory of the GNS in Borodyanka (Kyiv region), where OKKO stores a significant part of its gas reserves. The network invested more than 10 million hryvnias in the arrangement of laboratories and the purchase of high-precision imported equipment.
The gas laboratories are equipped with control and measuring equipment from manufacturers such as Agilent (USA), SDM (Italy), Linetronic (Switzerland), and others. Thus, quality controllers can now promptly check samples of liquefied gas for about 10 parameters. The key ones are octane number, component composition, saturated vapor pressure and residue after evaporation, water and sulfur content. For example, analysis of the component composition in the laboratory takes 1 hour, and water content is determined in 1.5 hours.

In January 2019, both laboratories successfully passed state accreditation for compliance with the requirements of DSTU EN / IEC 17025: 2006 at the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine. And now they can conduct fuel tests not only for the network, but also for third-party clients.
“Over the past 5 years, the volume of sales of gas motor fuel in Ukraine has approximately doubled. But at the same time, the shadow segment in gas trade has also significantly grown,” comments Alla Sydorovych, head of the quality control department of the OKKO network. “To prevent substandard product from entering our network, reliably provide our customers and B2B partners with high-quality gas fuel, we have significantly strengthened control measures and increased sampling both directly from LPG modules at OKKO filling stations and at those points where we receive and store the main volumes of purchased liquefied gas.”
