Last month, the French brand Renault topped the ranking, receiving 728 registration plates for new passenger cars. This is 36% more than in February of the previous year.
The second place was taken by Japanese Toyota with 719 cars sold. Last year, interest in passenger models of this brand was 3% lower.
The third place went to KIA, which was preferred by 602 buyers. Compared to February 2018, the number of registrations of new cars of this brand grew fourfold.
The fourth position is held by Hyundai with a 19% increase – 404 cars.
Closing the top five is Nissan, which showed a result of 397 cars, which is 8% more.
The top ten most sought-after brands in the new passenger car market also included: Skoda – 355 units (down 2%); Volkswagen – 343 units (down 59%); Mazda – 189 units (minus 4%); BMW – 176 units (plus 72%); Peugeot – 163 units (up 19%).
The most popular car of February was the KIA Sportage, which was chosen by 413 Ukrainian drivers.
Overall, in January-February, the country's car fleet was replenished with 11 thousand new passenger cars, which is 12% less than in the same period last year.
