As is known, in 2010 the Chinese company Geely became the owner of Volvo. The Swedes were in dire need of financial injections, and the Chinese sought to gain access to advanced developments. The first fruits of this cooperation, apparently, will become noticeable already in 2015.

Most likely, the first model built on a unified platform will be the XC90 crossover. Of course, it is not about Volvo adopting Chinese developments — on the contrary, the Chinese will get the opportunity to use the platform, engines, and the latest safety systems created by engineers from Sweden.

According to preliminary data, the second-generation Volvo XC90 will increase in dimensions, which will allow placing three rows of seats in its cabin.

Let us add that shortly before this, our correspondents took part in a survey "What Ukrainians think about the quality of Chinese cars," the results of which turned out to be quite telling.
