Over three months, the manufacturer delivered more than 81 thousand electric vehicles to customers, with each electric car sold generating a loss of about 507 dollars. For comparison: in January-March of this year, losses per vehicle reached approximately 900 dollars, and even earlier this figure went up to 1,400 dollars.

In addition, the average cost of electric vehicles has increased: in the second quarter of 2024 it was about 31 thousand dollars, and now it has reached the mark of 35 thousand. This dynamics is largely due to the start of sales of the SU7 Ultra model, the base version of which is estimated at 72.7 thousand dollars, while the most expensive Nürburgring Limited Edition version costs 112 thousand dollars.

The YU7 Max crossovers have stable demand in China, and in Ukraine interest in these cars is also growing. All vehicles were sold out on the very first day of sales, so now customers are waiting for the production of cars assembled to individual order. The estimated waiting time reaches almost a year — from 41 to 58 weeks, depending on the chosen configuration.

For those who do not want to wait that long, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun suggests paying attention to other electric vehicles, including the Xpeng G7, Li Auto i8, as well as the direct competitor of the YU7 — the Tesla Model Y.
