The C-Class All-Terrain is, in essence, an off-road version of the latest-generation C-Class estate. The new model boasts a 40 mm increase in ground clearance, standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive, additional off-road driving modes, protective body cladding, and a different radiator grille. Buyers will be offered three wheel options – 17-, 18-, and 19-inch.

In terms of dimensions, the C-Class All-Terrain is 4 mm longer (4755 mm) and 21 mm wider (1841 mm) than the standard C-Class estate. The height is the same – 1494 mm.

The trunk volume is 490 liters (expandable to 1510 liters), with seat backs folding in a 40:20:40 split. The interior, as befits a car of this class, boasts generous space. Depending on the trim, the car is equipped with the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system with screens measuring 10.25 or 12.3 inches diagonally. Latest-generation safety and driver assistance systems are provided.

The engine lineup of the C-Class All-Terrain includes two four-cylinder engines supplemented by a mild hybrid system (48-volt starter-generator). A petrol variant C 200 (204 hp and 300 Nm) is announced, as well as a diesel C 220 d (258 hp and 440 Nm). Both units work in conjunction with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain will be available for purchase starting in December.
