The new Chery QQ is an electric car. Moreover, as can be seen in the photo, it is compact in size. The car will feature a three-door body with a characteristic "square" design. In these parameters, it is very similar (almost a clone) to Wuling Hongguang Mini EV – the electric bestseller of the Chinese market, where its main weapon was the price of $5,000 (this is the average cost, since the exact price depends on the configuration of the model). The only unique thing about Chery is the characteristic U-shaped optics.
At the same time, the commercial task of the Chery QQ is precisely to compete with the Mini EV. Bold and daring, isn't it?
Interestingly, the electric Chery QQ will get the prefix Ice Cream (translated from English – ice cream) to its name. According to the idea, it should emphasize the brightness of the car and attract a young audience. Chery intends to enhance the effect by offering a wide range of colors – a total of seven colors are planned.
Note that the original Chery QQ – first generation – appeared in 2003. The model gained wide fame due to its design copied from Daewoo Matiz and a small price tag. In 2013, the second generation of the hatchback was born, which already received its distinctive design and is produced to this day. The third generation of the "QQ" should debut in the coming weeks.
