At a roundabout intersection, a trolleybus broke down and blocked one of the exits. To clear the road, passengers decided to manually push the vehicle out of the way.
At that moment, a Nissan X-Trail attempted to overtake the trolleybus, and the vehicles collided. Patrol officers who arrived at the scene filed a report under Article 124 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (violation of traffic rules resulting in an accident) against the trolleybus driver.
However, this interpretation raises doubts — the footage shows that it was the car that cut off the trolleybus. Moreover, clause 27.5 of the Ukrainian Traffic Regulations obliges the driver, in the event of a forced stop on the roadway, to take measures to move the vehicle to the right beyond its edge.
Of course, the final decision will be made by the court. However, this accident has certainly become the most unusual in the capital recently.
