From January to September 2026, Ukrainians purchased 9,184 passenger cars imported from China. This is 37% less than in the same period of 2025. Of these, 7,251 cars were new, and another 1,933 vehicles were purchased used. This is reported by Ukravtoprom.

Sales of new Chinese-made passenger cars decreased by 40%, and used ones by 26%. At the same time, the structure of demand by type of power unit changed noticeably.

Electric vehicles accounted for 53% of the Chinese car market versus 87% last year. The share of hybrids reached 26%, gasoline models - 18%, and diesel - 3%.

The most popular Chinese cars among Ukrainians in 2026

Among new cars from China, the first two places were taken by BYD models, and the top five also included Zeekr, Volkswagen and Chery.

  3. Zeekr 001 - 338 cars;

  4. Volkswagen ID.Unyx - 306 cars;

In the used Chinese passenger car segment, the leader was the BYD Song L. The top five includes three BYD models at once, as well as vehicles from Zeekr and Buick.
