In our region, the Chery QQ is well known – the first generation of the model was a copy of the Daewoo Matiz and sold quite well in Ukraine. The second generation, released in 2013, received a more original design, but it did not gain popularity outside of China. Now, the Chinese have released the third generation of the model, and in terms of appearance, it… almost completely replicates another Chinese electric car – Wuling Hongguang Mini EV (the latter has already become the best-selling electric car in the world due to incredible demand in its homeland).

The electric Chery QQ features a boxy three-door body with a high window line and characteristic stampings. It has small wheels and LED lighting. The car's dimensions are 2.98 x 1.5 x 1.64 m.

It is powered by an electric motor with 27 hp, fed by a lithium iron phosphate battery. Other specifications have not yet been disclosed, but it is expected that the top speed of the new Chery QQ will be around 100-130 km/h, with a range of 120-170 km on a single charge.
The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV costs just under $5,000 in China, and to compete with it, Chery will have to set a similar price for its new model.
