The plug-in hybrid Chery Tiggo 8 Plus Kunpeng e is equipped with a 1.5-liter 170-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine and a pair of electric motors (one per axle). In total, it produces 462 hp and 510 N∙m – exactly the same power as the plug-in hybrid Porsche Cayenne.
The all-wheel-drive crossover Chery Tiggo 8 Plus can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The claimed fuel consumption is only 1 L/100 km in the combined cycle. The electric-only range is not disclosed, but it is known to significantly exceed 50 km.
In appearance, the Kunpeng e is almost no different from the standard Chery Tiggo 8 Plus – except that its rear lights are tinted. Inside, there are also no changes: the crossover has a virtual instrument cluster and two touchscreens on the central panel.
