A year ago, the former startup Elektron Innovativ presented the 1341-horsepower electric supercar Elektron One almost a year ago, which was supposed to come out this year, but that didn't happen. Now the company has been renamed Elektron Motors and has announced that it is preparing a new "battery-powered" hypercar called the Elektron Quasar.

The key feature of the new model will be four in-wheel motors with a total power of 2300 hp, which will use the so-called electronic intelligent torque vectoring system (ESTV), thanks to which the car will be able to enter corners with maximum stability. With a mass of 1,500 kg, the hypercar will accelerate to 100 km/h in just 1.65 seconds and reach a top speed of 450 km/h.

The live debut of the Elektron Quasar is scheduled for 2023, with production start also planned then. In total, the Germans intend to produce 99 such cars, with each unit costing 2.2 million euros.

Elektron Motors emphasized that the Electron One project has not been forgotten – it will definitely appear, but only after the Quasar.
