It is important to understand: these images are not official renders, but the work of specialists from the Auto.cz website. The pictures are modeled based on spy photos of the Opel Astra 2022.
It is not hard to guess that the front end of the hatchback will be styled in the current corporate design — like the new crossover Opel Mokka. When viewed from the side, the car rather resembles a reduced version of the Opel Corsa.
The Opel Astra 2022 will be built on the same EMP2 platform as the new Peugeot 308 (both brands are part of the Stellantis concern). The wheelbase of the Astra will increase to 2675 mm.
Similar to the 308 model, the new Opel Astra will be equipped with a digital instrument cluster, surround-view cameras, and a semi-autonomous driving suite. The powertrains will also be borrowed from the French relative: 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engines with 110 and 130 horsepower, a 1.5-liter turbodiesel with 130 horsepower, and plug-in hybrids with outputs of 180 and 225 hp.
