The new Maserati Grecale will take a position one step below the Levante. Its name, like that of the older model, is associated with the wind: gregale is a cold northeast wind typical of the Mediterranean. In the photos, the car is hidden under camouflage and looks blurry, but even so, you can see the elongated hood, the smoothly sloping roofline, and noticeably widened rear wheel arches.

The new model from Modena will compete with the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Porsche Macan. The crossover will be based on the same platform as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, and both models will be assembled at the plant in Cassino.

The powertrains will likely also be inherited from the Stelvio. This means that under the hood of the Maserati, there could be a two-liter turbo engine with 280 horsepower and a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 from Ferrari producing 510 horsepower. In addition, there is a possibility of installing a hybrid system with 330 horsepower, which is used in the Maserati Ghibli.
