Unlike the LX model, the new Lexus crossover will be built on a unibody platform and will be noticeably more driver-oriented. The new model's rivals will be the Audi Q8, BMW X6, and Porsche Cayenne. The car's appearance features a long hood, a massive spindle-shaped grille, and a sloping roofline, inspired by the Lexus LF-1 Limitless concept shown in 2018.

The base engine for the Lexus LF will most likely be a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 420 hp, which is already used in the LS sedan. This same powertrain, by the way, is also planned for the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300.

In addition, a hybrid version of the Lexus LF is expected in the lineup, and the appearance of a "hot" version prepared by Toyota's Gazoo Racing sports division is not ruled out. Under the hood of such a car will be a completely new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. According to unconfirmed data, the output will be 650–660 hp, which significantly exceeds the figures of the BMW X6 M, Audi RS Q8, and Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
