In the company, the prototype is already being called the "new form of the car," and according to DS chief designer Thierry Metroz, the new product is a "prelude to the brand's next creations."

The crossover's length is 5000 millimeters. The prototype is equipped with 23-inch wheel rims, matrix LED headlights, and instead of a traditional radiator grille, the car has a special screen that displays the DS inscription.

The crossover's side mirrors are replaced by cameras that transmit the image to special screens. The car's interior features unusual materials, including, for example, straw marquetry and microfiber. All main functions of the car can be controlled using gestures and voice.

The Aero Sport Lounge is powered by an electric motor with about 680 horsepower. The engine is powered by a battery with a capacity of 110 kilowatt-hours. The electric crossover can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Without recharging, the car travels up to 650 kilometers. The same powertrain is used in the DS Techeetah racing car competing in Formula E.

By 2025, the French brand is expected to present its first production electric vehicle. DS already has experience in creating electric cars. For example, four years ago, the French developed a concept called E-Tense, whose design was made in the style of the 1955 Citroen DS model. The E-Tense was equipped with an electric motor producing 402 hp and 512 N·m of torque. The car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 km/h. The electric car's range does not exceed 360 kilometers.
