According to the Mopar Insiders portal, citing insiders within the FCA concern, the American minivan Chrysler Pacifica will soon acquire an all-wheel drive system. It is assumed that the transmission scheme will be largely similar to that used on hybrid versions of the Jeep Renegade and Compass SUVs: there, the rear wheels are driven by an electric motor. The range on a single charge in pure electric mode for such vehicles reaches 50 kilometers. In addition to the all-wheel drive transmission, the car will also receive an updated exterior design.

It is expected that the radiator grille will become visually more complex, the front part will acquire more angular contours in the spirit of the current Chrysler 300, and the lighting will be fully switched to LEDs, and in all trim levels. The rear lights, according to rumors, will stretch across the entire width of the body — a similar solution is already used on new Dodge models. The more affordable modification of the Pacifica, which bears the name Voyager, will receive the same updates in 2020. The premiere of the restyled versions of the minivans is expected in the first quarter of this year — it will probably be timed to coincide with the Canadian International Auto Show, which will be held in mid-February.
