Sergio Marchionne, who heads FCA, is actively seeking partners who could acquire brands such as Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, and Ram. At the same time, the Italian brands Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, and Maserati will remain part of the group.
Currently, negotiations are underway with several Chinese companies, including major corporations such as Geely and Great Wall.
The interest of Chinese automakers in FCA is quite understandable: they aim to strengthen their positions in the American market, which remains untapped for them.
