Judging by everything, the off-road version of the model will receive increased ground clearance, plastic protection around the body perimeter, and roof rails. It is assumed that the assembly of the car will be organized at the enterprise in the French city of Mulhouse.

According to L`Argus observers, investments in the plant in Alsace amounting to 213 million euros will make it possible to update production lines and expand areas to produce the entire line of the "three hundred eighth". Currently, Mulhouse produces the Peugeot 508 liftback and station wagon, as well as the DS7 Crossback crossover.

Official representatives of Peugeot do not confirm the transfer of production of the "three hundred eighth" from the plant in Sochaux, but only note that "a third model will appear in Mulhouse from 2021".

Apparently, the Peugeot 308 will remain available with petrol and diesel engines, but, like the younger e-208 model, it will acquire a fully electric version. It is too early to talk about what body and engines the cross variants will receive.
