Buyers of the Civic were dissatisfied with the virtual buttons of the multimedia system, so the main innovation was the return to physical switches. To the left of the central display, quick access buttons for navigation and phone appeared, and the climate control unit was also updated. New textured panels are used in the trim, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat is available for an extra charge.

Externally, the Honda Civic has been transformed by adding L-shaped "blades" above the fog lights, updated LED optics, which are now offered in all trim levels, and new alloy wheels, including 17-inch Shark Grey ones.

The engine lineup remains the same: a 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (126 hp and 200 Nm), a 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo four-cylinder (182 hp and 240 Nm), and a 1.6 i-DTEC diesel (120 hp and 300 Nm). Cars with the smaller engine are equipped with a CVT, while the rest get a six-speed manual transmission.
