The special series of hand-assembled Acura MDX is called PMC Edition. Production of such cars is organized at the Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio, where Acura NSX sports cars are also produced. In total, it is planned to assemble three hundred crossovers (including 30 for the Canadian market), and they will be delivered to dealers on enclosed car carriers separately from other cars of the brand.

Among the features of the MDX PMC Edition are a leather interior with red stitching, red instrument panel lighting, 20-inch black wheels, and a price tag five thousand dollars higher than usual. Otherwise, the car repeats the "conveyor" crossover: it is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine with direct fuel injection, which produces 290 horsepower, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

The company is confident that the price of 65 thousand dollars will not scare off buyers, since Acura already had experience selling "special" TLX PMC Edition sedans, also hand-assembled. The entire batch was sold out.
