The model's name refers to the Area C test track, located at Hyundai's research center in Namyang, South Korea. The i30 N Project C received a new aerodynamic body kit made of carbon, including a front splitter, rear diffuser, and side skirts. In addition, the hood is made of composite materials.

The hot hatch is also equipped with 19-inch OZ-Racing racing wheels and front sports bucket seats with a carbon fiber frame. This reduced the curb weight by 50 kg compared to the production version.

The ground clearance was lowered by 6 mm, and the center of gravity dropped by 8.8 mm — this was achieved by recalibrating the shock absorbers and using shortened springs. Specialists also refined the logic of the Sport and N modes.

The powertrain remains unchanged. Under the hood of the Hyundai i30 N is a two-liter turbocharged engine that produces 275 hp and 353 Nm of torque in the top trim (when the Overboost function is activated, the figure briefly increases to 378 Nm). The unit works in conjunction with a six-speed manual gearbox. In standard form, such a hot hatch accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, and its top speed is limited to 250 km/h.

The model's production run is limited to 600 units, which will be distributed among European markets.
