The Lincoln Corsair is built on the front-wheel-drive C2 platform from the "fourth" Ford Focus. The crossover's design features traits of Lincoln's older models. The Corsair is equipped with a new radiator grille with vertical slats, a different front bumper with a modernized central section, a panoramic roof, and modified LED optics.

The interior is trimmed with leather and wood. The car is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen display, seats with massage function, and wireless charging for smartphones. The melodies for the new crossover were recorded by a symphony orchestra from Detroit - they will be used for alert signals.

The Corsair's engine lineup includes a 2.0-liter engine producing 250 hp and 373 Nm of torque. Also available is a 2.3-liter engine with 280 hp and 420 Nm of torque. A hybrid version will appear later.

Sales of the Lincoln Corsair in the US are expected to start before the end of the year. The new model will be the smallest crossover in the brand's lineup and will compete with the Volvo XC60, Lexus NX, BMW X3, and Cadillac XT4.
