The appearance of the new crossover will largely echo the design of the Aviator model: an imposing shield-shaped grille, rear lights united by a light strip, and a sloping roofline. The Corsair is based on a front-wheel-drive platform borrowed from the current Ford Focus.
The engine lineup of the new model will include EcoBoost gasoline turbo engines with a displacement of 2.0 and 2.3 liters, producing 245 and 289 horsepower, respectively. They will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Later, a hybrid version is also planned.
Production of the Lincoln Corsair will be organized at Ford's plant in Louisville (Kentucky), as well as at one of the enterprises in China.
