The eight-seat minivan is equipped with a 100 kWh battery and an electric motor producing 201 hp, which is installed on the front axle. The range is more than 400 km. The maximum speed is 160 km/h. The batteries in the EQV are located under the floor. To travel 100 km, the electric car needs to be charged for only 15 minutes. The concept can be charged via a Mercedes-Benz wallbox or a regular socket.

The design of the car resembles the V-Class. According to the head of the Mercedes-Benz Vans electric vehicle division, Benjamin Kähler, customers like the exterior and interior of this model, so it was decided to keep the recognizable style for the electric minivan as well.
The Mercedes-Benz EQV features LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, large air intakes, and chrome inserts.

The equipment list includes the MBUX multimedia system, which was first shown on the fourth-generation A-Class family. The artificial intelligence is self-learning and over time will be able to understand even complex commands. The system can be controlled, among other things, via voice commands. Also, special smartphone apps allow remote control of the climate control system or cashless payment at charging stations.
The production version of the "green" minivan will be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Sales of the electric vehicle are expected to start in 2021, and it will become the fifth representative of the "green" EQ line — following the EQC crossover, EQA hatchback, EQB small crossover, and EQS large sedan.
