The open-top version of the Mercedes-AMG GT R features a three-section soft top, the frame of which is made of lightweight materials — aluminum, magnesium, and steel. Among other features of the car are darkened exterior mirror housings, yellow brake calipers, and unique forged alloy wheels: 19-inch at the front and 20-inch at the rear.

Inside, there is a virtual instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch diagonal, a 10.25-inch touchscreen multimedia display, and AMG Performance sports seats upholstered in Nappa leather.

Under the hood of the Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster is a four-liter V8 engine with two turbochargers, producing 585 horsepower and 700 N·m of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox. The roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, and the top speed reaches 317 km/h.

The car is equipped with a chassis with rear-wheel steering, a suspension recalibrated for track modes, adaptive dampers, an electronically controlled rear differential, and active aerodynamic elements.

The production run of the Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster will be limited to 750 units. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the price of the new model.
