The electric car got its name in honor of a prestigious district in the center of Barcelona. The Seat el-Born is built on the modular MEB platform, which was specially developed for future electric cars of the Volkswagen Group. The design of the Spanish electric car largely repeats the Volkswagen I.D. model.
