The model is built on a completely new platform. The crossover is 4980 mm long, 1976 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2900 mm. The drag coefficient is 0.33. The Palisade's exterior is styled in the spirit of the new-generation Santa Fe, and also borrows some elements from the updated Tucson and from the HDC-2 Grandmaster concept presented this summer in Busan.

The crossover features narrow headlights, massive wheel arches, a spoiler, an imposing radiator grille, and 20-inch wheels. Inside, you can note seats upholstered in Nappa leather, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch media center screen.

The Palisade also offers as many as 16 cupholders, 7 USB ports, wireless smartphone charging, a communication system with rear passengers, and an Infinity audio system. The new model has no traditional transmission selector — gears are switched via buttons on the front panel. The driver can choose from several driving modes, including Eco, Sport, and Snow.

The eight-seat crossover is equipped with a 3.8 V6 gasoline engine producing 295 hp and 355 Nm. The engine works in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Drive is front or all-wheel.

Sales of the Hyundai Palisade will start next summer. Production of the model will be established at the plant in Ulsan (South Korea).
