The production Aviator does not differ too much from the concept car of the same name shown in the spring in New York. The main differences include the design of the LED optics, a modified radiator grille, as well as thin taillights united by a solid horizontal strip of the brake light.

The interior boasts a fully digital instrument panel and a large touchscreen for the multimedia system. The Aviator became the first Lincoln model to use an electronic key: access to door locks, ignition, and other vehicle functions is done through a smartphone app.

The new Aviator received adaptive suspension that works in conjunction with a front camera that scans the road surface. Based on this data, optimal suspension stiffness settings are selected.

The crossover will be available with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Under the hood of the Aviator is a three-liter bi-turbo engine producing 400 hp and 542 Nm. The transmission is a 10-speed automatic.

In the future, a version with a hybrid powertrain with the ability to recharge batteries from a household electrical outlet will appear. The total output of the units will be 450 hp and 813 Nm. Such a crossover will be able to move both exclusively on electric power and using only the internal combustion engine. Other details about the hybrid are not yet disclosed.

The new Lincoln Aviator will be sold in the American and Chinese markets. Prices for the model have not yet been disclosed.
