The length of the new model is 4826 mm, and the wheelbase is 2794 mm. In the model lineup, the Passport will occupy a niche between the CR-V and Pilot crossovers. The Passport is built on the Global Light Truck platform and shares most of its components and assemblies with the Pilot and Ridgeline models. The front uses a McPherson suspension, while the rear uses a multi-link setup.

The trunk can hold up to 1166 liters of cargo, and with the rear seats folded down, which are powered, the volume can be increased to 2205 liters. Additionally, there is an extra compartment under the floor with a capacity of 71 liters.

Under the hood of the crossover is a 3.5-liter gasoline V6 engine producing 283 hp and 354 N·m. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. As an option, an all-wheel drive system is available, which can transfer up to 70% of the torque to the rear axle.

The Honda Passport will feature a multimedia system with an 8-inch touchscreen display, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot. The list of electronic assistants includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and surround-view cameras.

American sales of the Honda Passport crossover will start next year. Prices have not yet been published.
