Under this name, the American brand produced a large SUV with a three-row interior from 2002 to 2005. In addition, the company released a video showing a symphony orchestra from Detroit recording melodies for the new crossover. These compositions will be used as sound notifications for the car.

"This is a completely unusual step for us — integrating music into the car's information environment. We constantly think about luxury, and this has become another way for Lincoln to rise to a higher level," shared Jennifer Prescott, a representative of the company's marketing department.

Judging by the image of the new model shown at the end of the video, the appearance of the production version of the crossover will correspond to the concept model of the same name, presented in March at the New York Auto Show. The new Aviator, like its spiritual predecessor, will be equipped with a seven-seat interior. According to preliminary information, the model will be positioned in the Lincoln lineup one step below the Navigator SUV.

The technical details of the car remain classified. It is possible that the vehicle will feature a hybrid powertrain. Presumably, it will include a gasoline twin-turbo V6 engine working in conjunction with an electric motor. The crossover will also be equipped with adaptive suspension with a road-scanning system ahead, allowing the chassis to automatically select optimal settings in advance.

The new Lincoln Aviator will receive a 12-inch touchscreen for the SYNC multimedia system, as well as a "digital key" — access to door locks, ignition, and other vehicle functions will be implemented via a smartphone.
