The new X3 retains its recognizable appearance, which stylistically has become closer to its "big brother" X5.

The crossover has grown slightly in dimensions: length – 4708 mm (+51 mm), width – 1891 (+10), height – 1676 (–2 mm), wheelbase – 2864 (+54 mm). Ground clearance is now 204 mm (–8 mm).

The interior borrows many elements from the new generation of the 5 Series and features a fully digital instrument panel, available as an option.

For the first time, the model's lineup includes a "hot" version from the M Performance family – the X3 M40i, equipped with a three-liter turbo engine producing 360 hp (500 Nm).

Also offered for the crossover are a two-liter engine in two power variants – 184 or 252 hp, as well as two diesels: 2.0 (190 hp) and 3.0 (265 hp).
As before, the base version of the X3 can be ordered with rear-wheel drive, while all other modifications are exclusively all-wheel drive. Transmissions – the only option is an 8-speed automatic.
The crossover's options list now includes adaptive cruise control capable of keeping the car within its lane, as well as the interactive BMW Display Key.
Sales of the new BMW X3 start in the fall. Prices will be announced closer to the start of sales.
