When British representatives of Land Rover saw these photos, they immediately raised a fuss and filed a complaint with the Chinese authorities, because the images showed almost an exact analog of the Range Rover Evoque. However, complaining in China about a local manufacturer is a hopeless endeavor for foreigners. The British were denied satisfaction of their claim. According to Chinese officials, borrowing someone else's intellectual property is not such a serious offense. Therefore, despite objections and legal proceedings, the Landwind X7 was being prepared for series production. And today it became known that it will go on sale on the Chinese market as early as next month.

Most likely, such a copy will find its buyers, and probably in considerable numbers. After all, the price of the X7 will be about two-thirds lower than that of the original Evoque.

The similarity of the cars is indeed impressive: the Chinese even used the same font for the model name as the British designers. True, the technical filling of the Chinese crossover is noticeably more modest than that of the Range Rover. The X7 is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 188 hp, while the Evoque's engine produces much more solid 237 hp.

But external similarity is often deceptive, and only a crash test can clarify the true state of affairs. After reviewing its results, any potential buyer will immediately understand where such a significant difference in price comes from.
