Despite the fact that the information was promptly removed from the website, the official photos and technical data of the model became the property of ubiquitous journalists.

The mistake is indeed unfortunate (if it is a mistake, not marketing), since the official premiere of the new 7-Series should take place only on Wednesday, June 10.

Nevertheless, thanks to the leak, it became known that the new model will go on sale with three powertrain options: two petrol engines with 326 and 450 hp (in the 740i and 750i xDrive versions) and a 256-horsepower diesel engine for the 730d version.

Customers will be able to order additional options such as the M package for 5,760 euros and adaptive LED headlights for 1,800 euros. The car can be painted in 13 colors and equipped with several wheel options ranging from 17 to 20 inches.

The new BMW 7-Series has become 130 kilograms lighter compared to its predecessor. The weight reduction was achieved through the use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, as well as aluminum in some body components. One of the highlights of the new model will be the automatic parking function using a remote control.

The price of the petrol BMW 7-Series 740i for Austria starts from 107,690 euros. The more powerful 750i will be offered at a price from 137,935 euros, and the diesel 730d from 100,445 euros.
