Almost 5 and a half meters of luxury offers an impressive wheelbase of 3365 mm. If we compare the new product with the long-wheelbase S-Class, the Maybach's rear doors are shortened (by 66 millimeters). It would seem, why? According to the Germans, this makes the VIP zone more cozy and secluded – passengers are not so noticeable from the outside.
The rear sofa implies not only electric adjustment of each individual seat, but also massage. There are also tables, monitors, a separate climate control system with air ionization and spraying of exclusive perfumes and, for an additional charge, a bar with hand-made silver glasses.
According to the manufacturer, this is the quietest sedan in the world, in which even the seat belt mechanisms have special elements that reduce unnecessary noise. By the way, in terms of aerodynamic qualities, the Mercedes-Maybach is almost ideal. The drag coefficient of the sedan is 0.26 – like one of the most advanced sports cars of our time, the BMW i8.
At the start of production, the Maybach will be available in S 500 and S 600 modifications - 4.7 liters with 455 hp and a 530-horsepower biturbo, respectively. Gearbox – 7-speed automatic for the "six hundredth" and 9-speed for the 500th. Acceleration to hundred is about 5 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 250 kilometers per hour.
The exact cost of the luxurious limousine is still unknown, but there is information that it will be twice as expensive as the regular S600 L costing from 165 thousand euros.
