The new model will go on sale in the first half of 2015 and will be the smallest crossover in Mazda's lineup.

Among its competitors are: Nissan Juke, Opel Mokka and Ford EcoSport. As Autoportal has already reported, the Mazda CX-3 is based on the urban hatchback Mazda2. The dimensions of the urban SUV are: length - 4275 mm, height - 1555 mm, and wheelbase - 2570 mm.

The powertrain lineup includes one 1.5-liter petrol SKYACTIV-G and a turbodiesel SKYACTIV-D of similar displacement. Transmission options are manual or automatic. Drive is either all-wheel or front-wheel.
