People's deputies reported that Petro Poroshenko vetoed the bill providing for a reduction in excise taxes on used cars.

Thus, the leader of the "Self-Reliance" faction Oleh Berezyuk made the following statement:

"This law is the only one that actually puts money into citizens' pockets, rather than working with abstract figures. However, it was vetoed. Apparently, this is the price for support in today's vote," Berezyuk noted.

A little later, the information about the veto was confirmed on his Facebook by People's Deputy Volodymyr Parasyuk.

Nevertheless, there is no need to rush to conclusions. Official comments will help clarify the situation — then it will become clear whether the document was indeed rejected and for what reasons.

P.S. In the evening of June 2, the president's press secretary Svyatoslav Tsegolko refuted Berezyuk's words about the veto on the law on excise taxes for imported used cars.

"The document has not even been submitted to the Presidential Administration yet," Tsegolko stated.
